Christmasasaurus is BACK to spread some serious holiday cheer. I have co-curated this series since 2005, but 2010 brought about an unexpected 4 year hiatus. Now, with renewed spirit we're gearing up for a particularly joyous Volume 6. So much joy, in fact, that it spilled over the top and we've got a little holiday bonus for you: Volume 5.5, 8 unique artists offering their takes on classic Christmas songs and carols.
Holiday cheer has an expiration date of, basically, tomorrow, so be sure to grab this, spread it to everyone you can, and slap it on all your holiday party playlists so that when you forget to delete them you'll hear this next year, too!

Ten years ago, on August 11th, 2005, Bubblegum Octopus began; an unusual marriage of disparate influences and conflicting ideas working harmoniously to express convoluted feelings and the intersections of equally unrelated concepts. Unexpectedly positive, word of mouth support and viral excitement allowed the project's music to reach dozens of thousands of ears, allowing the project to grow with others as something a bit larger than itself.
I posted a much more sentimental missive on the Facebook page but I need to just reiterate how much it means to me that anyone has ever cared about anything I've done. Whether you're someone who hasn't heard me in 8 years and think the project is a joke or someone who has found your heart and spirit touched and follow everything I do, your interest has consistently blown my mind. This was never meant to be anything except a vessel to write extremely personal and bizarre music for myself at age 16 that I thought would just last a few months at most, but I feel like together we've learned how much of myself I can really explore and evolve with Bubblegum Octopus.

After two years of nearly dormant existence and but a mere feature on a compilation, Almond Milks has finally released something of its own, Ghost/Palace.
Soft, small, glitchy pop and digital orchestral. A document of love and wistfulness.
There's never enough words at the end of a tour, especially when the was tour spent traveling and performing with (and for) friends. Playing bass with Femoral initially intimidated and disheartened me, but it turned out to be a real boost to the spirit. Look forward to another tour from the so-called Victory Friends, as well as a split 7" to commemorate the occasion.
